  • Golden Gordon.....Heads he will tails he won't.

The problem with Gordon Brown is that he can't decide whether to be decisive or not. Last week he had a solution re MP's expensive.. they would get extra pay for turning up to do the job they already get paid for........Ooops...his fellow Labour MPs and the Opposition didn't like that so he has changed his mind..yet again.
Isn't it nice to have a PM who can make firm, good and instant decisions ?

  • Cyclists........Left on Red.

Where do the lawmakers come from ?. Their latest madness is to consider allowing cyclists to turn left when the traffic lights are on red.
Where have they been for the last decade. The cyclists in London are easily the biggest abusers of the Highway code by a million miles.
They not only turn left on red, they turn right on red, and go straight ahead on red,(that is if the pavement isn't blocked and they can cut across the corner, thus avoiding the lights altogether.
And all of this without one penny of Road tax or any insurance.
Planners....lie down in a darkened room for a couple of days and then come into the 21st century.

  • Take Today but give in a Years Time ?

Why is it that whenever a new piece of legislation is passed in a Budget it has two vastly different leadtimes. Whenever the Government is giving us something it is always w.e.f April 2010 but when they are taking from us it is always w.e.f 6.00pm this evening.

  • Gordon Brown sorts MP's Expenses ?

Gordon Brown has finally got round to sorting out the "snoutgate" mess and fiddles re MP's expenses. The main bone of contention was the MP's second home (or in some cases Sister's bedsit)allowance. This amounted to some £24,000 per MP. Gordon has announced his intention to scrap this and replace it with an "Attendance Allowance". What will this be worth ?
Yes , you have guessed it. £24,000 per annum. But you can rest assured that this will be legal and all above board. MP's will get to vote on the new expenses "fiddles"......Isn't that a bit like asking Turkeys if they want to vote on the banning of Christmas?

  • Princess Eugenie............Gap Year

Many students in the past have taken gap years but not many of us were followed everywhere by police bodyguards in Phuket at a taxpayers cost of over £100,OOO . This is on top of the £250,000 each per year already spent on "protecting" the two princesses. Eugenie is sixth in line to the throne and the biggest threat she faces is that of alcohol poisoning.
Obviously their father "Air Miles" Andy, notorious for jetting around the at the taxpayers expense, sets the standard for the sisters.
Isn't it about time that the Queen reminded all her underlings what the current economic situation is really like ?

  • G2 Protester ?

Nicola Fisher, is the G2 protester who claims she was beaten up by the police. She was protesting at the mess that the leaders of the worlds major economies have got us all into.
What has Miss Fishers contribution been to the worlds economy...exactly ZILTCH..It has emergered that she has lived on benefits all her adult life. Currently in receipt of over £500 per month , her contribution to the worlds economy has been to hold her hand out at the benefits office every month for the last 17 years. At todays rate, thats a total of £102,000 the taxpayers have given her. Just how many others of the rent-a-protest crowd are we supporting. My suspicion is quite a lot.

  • Gordon Brown.........................Sorry ?

Gordon Brown our PM has finally said he is sorry over the "Smeargate" emails. He went on to say that he took full responsibility for what has happened and has fired the person concerned.

Hang on Gordon....you have got it wrong there. When you accept full responsibility for what has happened , you fall on your own sword, not plunge it into someone elses back.

  • Shred Fred the Shred

It comes as little suprise that Sir Fred Goodwin has refused to refund any of his pension. What does surprise me is that nobody has suggested that we shred the Sir in front of his name and he goes back to being common or garden Fred Goodwin.
He acquired his title for services to Banking......what a joke?
    Maybe we should spell SIR......CUR

  • Grace and Favour Homes...What a Con ?

Alistair Darling.....is given a grace and favour home at No11 Downing Street yet still thinks it is pefectly OK to claim for a second home to ensure that he is close to the House of Corruption.( Oh, he just happens to rent out this second home that we are paying for)
This is the most obvious case of fiddling that has emerged since the whole sorry mess was revealed.
Whilst on the subject, has Jacqui Smith's sister paid tax on the income that she is charging for the rent of a small bedroom. They can't have it both ways.......either Jacqui Smith is paying £20,000 a year in rent or she is fiddling her expenses by charging the taxpayer £20,000 and paying her sister £4620 ( the maximum you can charge to let a room before you pay tax.)
Will someone tell me which it ????????????????????????
